It’s an honour to pen down my thoughts as head of the institution Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, Ajmer. It is one of the oldest and biggest colleges of North India and has produced thousands of administrators, members of the legal fraternity, bankers, politicians, sportspersons, educators, businessmen and entrepreneurs. Also, it has been re-accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
This institution, with its rich and diverse faculty hone the skills of the students to be successful in whichever field they wish to pursue. It grooms the students to achieve a wholesome personality.
SPCGCA, Ajmer has an enviable library which is considered as the soul of a temple of education, along with well-equipped laboratories, well-groomed lawns, sports grounds, gymnasium and an imposing auditorium.
The infrastructure for heuristic learning is flattering in this institute, with smart classes and recording room for e-lectures, Seminar Hall where a lot of brain storming takes place. A free wi-fi for all is an icing on the cake.
These are difficult times, with Covid-19 pandemic looming large and has disrupted the one-to-one interaction between teachers and students. However, the faculty has taken up the challenge and is regularly delivering e-lectures through YouTube Channels. Regular weekly webinars are taking place in the college along with a rich library of Rajiv Gandhi e- content being created.
I conclude by exhorting students to take this journey of knowledge, learning, and building of a meaningful career in this institution with a lot of vigor, responsibility and in a disciplined manner to become an enlightened citizen of this great country of ours.
